The little energy it does use is recovered by lights being on less since your not waiting for hot water each time. Unlike the hot water lobster, it has a timer that lets us choose the times of day that we want hot water to be instantly ready. Since the hot water lobster allows warm water to circulate throughout your homes hot and cold water lines 24 / 7 which you'll seriously feel when your gas bill arrives every month since your water heater will also work harder 24 / 7. Don't forget that the hot water lobster requires that your water heater be significantly lower then the valve installed under the sink inorder to cause flow by convection and "slowly" move water. We first considered the hot water lobster, but didn't want to loose our cold water comfort just to get hot water quicker. Our RedyTemp lets us choose the temperature that works best for our home.
